staying at hotel chalet at the choo choo was a mixed bag. the staff was exceptional and super helpful, making my family feel welcome. it’s also close to coolidge park, a great spot for some summertime fun. i loved the unique vibe of the place as it’s nostalgic of trains from the past – glen miller would have loved it!

The unique charm of staying in a renovated railway car was unforgettable. The hotel was conveniently located near local restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. Our room was spacious and quiet, with a comfortable bed and an incredible shower. However, the main building showed some wear and tear, and navigating through the pool area was a bit awkward. Still, the amenities like the picturesque pool area added to the overall experience.

Staying at Hotel Chalet At The Choo Choo provided a unique insight into Chattanooga's train history. The vintage train car accommodations brought nostalgia, while the friendly staff enhanced the experience. However, I did find the lighting quite dim in the room. Overall, a memorable stay.

The vintage train car vibe drew me in. Rooms have quirky decor, making me feel nostalgic. My room was charming, clean, and had modern conveniences like USB ports. However, lighting in the train car was quite dim. brighter bulbs would help. Staff greeted me warmly and were super helpful, making my stay enjoyable. I loved being close to several restaurants in the area. Enjoyed the free shuttle service downtown, which made exploring the city easy. The pool area, while pleasant, got crowded and made it hard to find space to relax. Parking, unfortunately, was an issue. finding a spot took time since there were events happening. Overall, the hotel has charm but could use a few updates and better parking management.

Oh man, the food scene in Chattanooga is a gem! I feasted on a bowl of gumbo at Blue Orleans Creole Restaurant—absolutely drool-worthy. The Wildflower Tea Shop was perfect for a chill afternoon with homemade treats. Plus, the location's a win. you can stroll to points of interest like The Comedy Catch or grab ice cream at Clumpies!
Now, on the flipside, we faced some parking drama, as the place hosted events all weekend. Had to hunt for a spot far from the hotel, which was a bummer. Also, the pool area felt overrun, so my kid couldn't dive in and splash around. Just a heads-up, keep that wallet ready—nothing's free here!

We had such a fun time hanging by the outdoor pool and enjoying live music during our stay! The atmosphere was lively with awesome bars on site. The arcade kept the kids entertained. Just a heads up, the room felt a bit dated, but we didn’t let it ruin our experience. 🍹

The kids enjoyed the pool and the garden area, especially the giant checkers. We appreciated the free shuttle service downtown, making it easy to explore without moving our car. It was a nice touch to find a dining option in a train car.
Some areas could use more attention to detail.

Charming spot in the heart of downtown
Spent 3 nights in a double room and loved the atmosphere! The room was spacious and clean, had a nice shower, fridge, and coffee maker. Didn't expect the pool to be so nice. Only downside was the bed was a bit too soft for my taste. Overall, I had a great experience, and the on-site restaurant was a tasty bonus.
